We don’t like writing terms and conditions, and we know you don’t like reading them, but they’re here for a reason, and that’s to protect both you and My Italian Friends Ltd.
So, make yourself a cup of tea (or coffee) and take the time to read our small print. It is important to us that you understand the terms on which we are making our agreement. Please read these terms carefully.
Prices are per person and unless otherwise indicated based on double occupancy, quoted in British Pond Sterling, and are set well in advance of the trip departure date. Our prices vary depending on a variety of cost factors, with peak travel times being the most expensive. Prices may change in the course of the year, and in general the best prices are available earlier. If the trip price is reduced, you will receive the lower price. You can always find the most current prices on our website or by calling us. Once you book your My Italian Friends package, your price is guaranteed. Prices cover land costs only; they do not include airfare to and from the trip.
Reservation & Payment
To make a reservation, please complete the reservation form and return it by e-mail or call us by phone and decide together with our tripadvisor. We ask for a 400£ deposit per person to reserve your space. Once we receive the deposit, we’ll email you with an updated invoice, your Reservation Number and the amount of final payment which is due 45 days prior to your trip departure. We’ll send you a balance statement as a reminder. If payment is not received by this date, My Italian Friends Ltd will consider the failed payment a cancellation and you will lose your previously held spot. No refunds will be given to travelers who fail to pay their balance by the due date.
If your trip departs within 45 days prior to your trip departure, full payment is due with upon reserving. Once we receive the full payment we’ll send you the final invoice and our Confirmation email with all the details for your trip.
There is no refund for school hours, meals or nights’ stay missed by partecipants.
My Italian Friend Ltd reserves the right to alter its programs, menus and itinerary
Cancellation policy and change policy
We understand that you may need to change your travel plans. If you must cancel your reservation, your cancellation fee will be determined according to the policy outlined below. Exceptions to our cancellation policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather, terrorism, civil unrest or personal emergencies. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a trip early. Percentage charges are calculated on total trip cost. If you are unable to take your tour with us after making a deposit or full payment, we will apply the following cancellation fee:
– 91 days or more before the tour departure date – there will be a 150 £ administrative fee per person
– 61/90 days before the tour departure date: cancellation fee of 30% of tour cost per person
– 31/60 days before the tour departure date: cancellation fee of 50% of tour cost per person
– 0/30 days before the tour departure date: cancellation fee of 100% of tour cost per person
No refunds are possible after the tour begins. Please note that any refund from My Italian Friend Ltd will be done within 30 days after the end of the scheduled trip.
If you do not cancel but only want to change your date and notify us of this change 120 days prior to the arrival date we can change this for you without any charge assuming we have availability.
Rather than paying the cancellation fees, no later then 60 days before the tour departure you may choose to keep your trip deposit or payment in a holding account to use on a future My Italian Friend trip within two years of booking. Each trip is priced differently. Your deposit or payment will be applied to the new tour of your choice and the balance will be adjusted accordingly.
In the unusual situation that My Italian Friend Ltd has to cancel a tour, you have the following options:
– My Italian Friend Lyd will refund the full deposit
– You can use the deposit for another My Italian Friend tour already confirmed during the same season
– Keep in mind that each tour is priced differently. Your deposit or payment will be applied to the new tour of your choice and the balance will be adjusted accordingly.
My Italian Friend Ltd is not responsible for other expenses incurred such as non-refundable plane tickets, if a tour is cancelled.
Release of Liability
Guests are required to provide a completed personal Information forms prior to trip departure; you may complete your forms online. We are unable to allow guests to participate in any aspect of a My Italian Friends trip without a filled release form.
My Italian Friend Ltd is not responsible for illness, injury or damage to personal property unless there is negligence of the company.
We offer a basic insurance service – bronze trip – thanks to the cover of a leading insurance company. The customer can increase the values guaranteed by the silver or gold coverage. HERE you can see the cover limits per insured person.
Photograhs Guests grant
My Italian Friend Ltd permission to take photographs or video during our tours for media use and for promotional and marketing purposes such as internet and printed materials and will not expect payment from My Italian Friend Ltd for use.
Each trip description on our site includes directions with suggestions to local restaurants and bars, an itinerary, and cultural, historical and literary points of reference provided for your information and not necessarily an integral part of the trip contract.
Place of jurisdiction
Disputes will fall within the jurisdiction of the Courts of London.
